Announcing High School for Adults –
The Excel Center
As the School Director of The Excel Center, I am pleased to share information about this exciting new school that will give Shelby County adults 18 and older the chance to return to school and earn their high school diploma. Started by Memphis Goodwill, Inc., the charter school will open in August 2015 at 1490 Norris Road, 38106 (site of the former Norris Elementary School). Geared to the adult learner, The Excel Center will offer day and evening classes, life coaches, support services and free on-site child care for the students while they are in class. Our goal is to help remove as many barriers as we can to make sure our students succeed and excel. All classes and services are free.
If you serve clients or know people who could benefit from The Excel Center, would you share the flyer (download flyer here) with them, or perhaps you can post it on your office bulletin board? We want to get the word out to as many people as we can. We will also be at the Jan. 31 Memphis Charter School Enrollment Fair (details on the flyer), and we’re looking forward to talking to people about The Excel Center.
