Assistant Director Needed for New Childcare Location #Memphis

Ready, Set, Grow Learning Academy is in need of an Assistant Director (as well as teachers and assistant teachers) for its new Saxon Ave. location.

Maintain all records; administrative file audits; secure required documents for files; answer calls or inquiries from clients and public; monitor Facebook and Instagram accounts, foster parent recruitment; monitor and update all files and records for state standard compliance.

Specific Duties:

  • Organize, monitor and maintain all student files current and compliant to all State Standards and agency policies;
  • Organize, monitor and maintain staff and graduate intern and files up to date and complete as required by state standards and agency policies;
  • Secure required documents for files as required by standards and policies;
  • Assist on monitoring Internā€™s file maintenance assignments;
  • Conduct Administrative file audits to ensure state standard compliance;
  • Monitor Facebook foster parent recruitment application; contact applicant and set up initial tours for potential parents;
  • Assist with the hiring process for new employees and interns, set up interview appointments, gather all the necessary documentation to run background checks, finger prints, drug and TB test;
  • CoordinateĀ  parent training meetings, foster parent consultations or meetings by securing meeting space; notifying all attendees, and securing meals or snacks for the meeting;
  • Keep current all permits and licensesĀ 
  • Do all computer work, copying; and organizing office working in Procare software to perform tasks and print reports.Ā 
  • Type menu as received from Cook Manager and post in classrooms
  • Create flyers, newsletters for center and parents notification boards
  • Assist with food orders and center suppliesĀ 
  • Prepare and submit timely payroll. Monitor time reports, assuring accuracy for staffĀ 
  • Monitor all time cards and prepare payroll report for theĀ 
  • for timely submittal;
  • Answer all calls or program inquiries from clients, foster parents; and the
  • public and schedule toursĀ 
  • Keep director informed of all incidents and document as directed, including phone calls, emergencies or inquiries;
  • Perform special assignments and duties assigned Program Director;
  • Ensure that assigned duties are performed timely and adequately

Pandemic EBT (P-EBT) is available to parents of kids in a school system who qualify for free/reduced lunch; and apart of a school system that has been shut down 5 days consecutively because of COVID-19. That’s anyone who has children in SCS, Aspire, etc. Shelby County Schools is free and reduced for all kids. Financial assistance to replace school meals during the months of March, April and May due to COVID-19 school closures.Ā

A program of NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness

These 6 week workshops have valuable information to help parents support children & teens with behavioral differences, while maintaining their own well-being.Ā  The course is taught by a team of trained NAMI family members who know what itā€™s like to have a child struggling with one of these brain disorders.Ā  Topics covered will be the ā€˜no faultā€™ approach, getting an accurate diagnosis, overview of treatment options, the impact on family, communication, crisis management, systems involved with your child, record keeping, advocating & team building for you & your child.

Designed for parents and other family caregivers of children and adolescents living with mental illness.

Taught by a team of trained teachers who are family caregivers of individuals who developed symptoms of mental illness as children.
