Annual 2-Day Workshop and Resource Fair
Attention all high school juniors and seniors in special education classes, families, and educators. The Arc Mid-South is hosting the annual 2-Day Workshop and Resource Fair designed especially for students with disabilities at Anointed Temple Of Praise Church. (3939 Riverdale Rd.) with breakout sessions on Vocational Rehabilitation, TN Care, Self-advocacy Skills, Finding Employment, and more.

The Arc Mid-South is hiring Direct Support Professionals to serve individuals with disabilities at our 2 day overnight Weekend Retreat.

Retreat Dates 2015:

The Arc Mid-South has provided Respite Weekend Retreats for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities for over 30 years. Formatted to be “mini-camps”, the weekend retreats are staffed with a ratio of 3:1 and offer social, recreational, and educational activities to participants while helping campers achieve greater independence.
Attendees will enjoy a variety of recreational activities including games, arts & crafts, entertainment, making tie-dye items, volleyball, nature walks, dancing, movies and learning to be more independent. And they make lifelong friends!
This is a great opportunity for seniors, retirees, or college students specializing in social work, special education, therapy, psychology, nursing, and other social and human service fields.
