The Program and How To Apply:

This application is for paid spring internship opportunity located on campus at ALSAC’s LeMoyne-Owen College Call Center.
ALSAC offers part-time paid internships (20 hours per week) each semester with flexible shifts.

Interviewing begins November (now) so apply online today!

Flexible Shift Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 12:00-4:00 pm and 5:00-9:00 pm.

Mandatory Training Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 12:00-4:00 pm or 5:00-9:00 pm for first 2 weeks of internship. Must be able to fully commit to training period. Training is located at Crosstown Concourse.

Tentative Start Date: February 2020

Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
Must be actively enrolled at LeMoyne-Owen College and must be 18 years of age.

Homeless Connect 4 Needs Volunteers

300 more volunteers are needed for this Thursday at the Convention Center.  If you have at least 4 hours in the morning or at least 2 hours in the afternoon, please go to the Community Alliance for the Homeless Website and sign up.  I am conducting training in my class on Tuesday at 11:00 AM in GOH 314 and Wednesday at 3:00 PM in GOH 308.  Spanish language translators are especially needed.  If you have any questions, contact me by email.

The Jabberwock Scholarship Program and Pageant is geared towards young ladies in grades 10th – 12th.  The program focuses on:

Project AWARE Mentoring Program (PAMP) 6th Annual STEP UP 4 CHILDREN STEP SHOW !!


Project AWARE Mentoring Program (PAMP) through Families of Incarcerated Individuals, Inc. (FII) will host its “Annual STEP UP 4 CHILDREN: Step Show Competition” on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at the historic Lemoyne-Owen College (Gymnasium), 807 Walker Avenue, 1:00 pm. STEP UP 4 CHILDREN is a campaign to promote the importance of mentoring and community involvement to ensure that all children are given a fair chance in life. Events planned for the day include music, giveaways and special guest appearances from our outstanding leaders of Shelby County.  This is no ordinary step show competition!!!!  Competitors will be the “best of the best” step teams in Memphis City and Shelby County Schools and other Tennessee & Mississippi School Systems.

We are encouraging the whole community to come out and support!

Tickets are $5.00 in advance/ $7.00 at the door.
