The City of Bartlett is hiring Summer Camp Counselors to conduct activities for campers ages 7-14 at the Bartlett Recreation Center.  The successful candidate will work Monday through Friday, morning, afternoon and evening shifts, during he summer months, beginning at the end of May and continuing through the first week of August. Will be responsible for supervising children in a camp setting, as well as planning and implementing safe, fun, age appropriate activities. Must be able to communicate effectively and be responsible for proper maintenance and care of facility and equipment.  Must be able to administer first aid when necessary.

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years of age and have experience working with children leading games, sports or arts and crafts. Bartlett resident preferred, but not required. The City will provide CPR, first aid and AED training, if necessary. Must pass a background check and physical exam, including a drug screen and TB test.

The City of Bartlett will conduct a Summer Sports Camp for children at the Bartlett Recreation Center and needs a qualified person to direct the program.  Will work daily, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., for a total of 40 hours per week, from Tuesday, May 26, through Friday, August 7.  A successful applicant must be mature with good judgment and experience working with children.  An educational background in Physical Education, Recreation or a related field is preferred.

This is a part-time position with no benefits.  This individual will work the front desk at the Bartlett Recreation Center.  This position greets visitors and members, enrolls new members, makes ID cards and answers the Bartlett Recreation Center telephone.

Will work Monday through Friday from 4:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m., alternating Sundays, some Holidays and Special Events.  Will work approximately 20-25 hours per week.

Qualifications

Requires minimum age of 18 with some skill and experience in operating PC software. Will interact continuously with the public. Customer service experience preferred, but not required.

This position is responsible for assisting the Day Camp Director in administering and supervising a Summer Day Camp at Singleton Community Center.  Will help the Director in planning the events of the camp, supervising the counselors and campers, assisting in interviewing applicants for new counselors, planning training for counselors, and communicating with parents, counselors, campers and other staff in a timely and professional manner.  Will keep daily attendance records, discipline forms, accident forms and other necessary daily records.

Qualifications

Requires a minimum of two years of college in Recreation, Elementary Education, or related field or a minimum of three years’ experience working with school aged children, or a combination of education and experience. Must have or obtain a current CPR certification. Must pass a background check and physical exam, including drug test and TB test.

PART-TIME WATER CLERK – FINANCE/WATER DEPT.

The City of Bartlett is seeking applications for the position of Part-Time Water Clerk.  This person will work approximately 25 hours per week between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and  5:00 p.m. Schedule may vary depending upon the needs of the office.  This position will work in Water Billing Administration and will perform various clerical duties to maintain the City’s utility billing records and provide assistance to utility customers.  This position will receive requests, complaints and inquiries from residential and commercial utility customers via telephone, in person, or through written correspondence.  Job functions include, but are not limited to:  answering the Water Administration telephones, verifying customer account information as necessary; responding to billing questions and complaints; explaining billing process, rate structure and consumption patterns; following up with customers and field personnel in a timely manner and helping maintain permanent files and records. Requirements include, but are not limited to:  strong customer service skills and focus; strong ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written; ability to maintain composure dealing tactfully, courteously and effectively with a variety of people; ability to use automated billing and accounting computer systems.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED and three years of experience with a customer billing system, call center, utility or government administration, or any combination of education, training and experience providing the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the essential duties; experience with cashier duties, customer service and public contact preferred. Must be able to type a minimum of 40 correct words per minute in a typing test administered by the Personnel Department. Must pass a background and driver’s licence check, and physical exam, including a drug screen.
