Girl Scouts is hiring!

with benefits. This position requires night and weekend availability, necessitating
travel and non-traditional work hours at times. Additionally, this position will

Volunteer Care Specialist for the Greater Memphis Area
This position will be based out of our Memphis office and will function primarily in
volunteer, troop and service unit support. The person filling this role can expect
to work very closely with the volunteers in their region, providing support and
guidance to troop and service unit operations. This person’s work will also have
an emphasis on onboarding and training volunteers, membership retention
efforts, volunteer recognitions and appointments, meeting attendance and adult
leadership facilitation.

Interested applicants should respond by Friday, September 6. We plan to begin
conducting interviews immediately and hope to bring new employees on as soon
as qualified candidates are screened and able to begin employment with GSHS.
Salary requirements, official job descriptions and other pertinent information will
be discussed and provided throughout the interview process.

Le Bonheur Volunteen Program is looking for high school students ages 15-18 that are interested in the volunteer/shadowing program this summer. We will also welcome any college student that may be interested. Please email lbvolunteers@lebonheur.org for questions.

MIFA seeks volunteers for December 19

MIFA needs 8-10 volunteers on Saturday, December 19th, to help pack shelf-stable Meals on Wheels at our office at 910 Vance Ave.  The packing project is scheduled for 9:30 a.m.noon, and volunteers are welcome to come for all or part of that time.

Black Girls CODE, Memphis is thrilled to host their mobile app workshop using MIT’s AppInventor!

No prior programming experience is required and all BGC workshops are geared toward introducing participants to the technological universe and encouraging them to pursue careers as tech creators and entrepreneurs. This event is intended for girls ages 7-17.

Summer Volunteen Program applications now accepted

The hospital is now accepting applications for this summer’s St. Jude Volunteen Program. Teens will participate in a summer experience of learning, personal growth and creative fun while serving patients, siblings and parents. Sessions include opportunities to explore possible career paths and develop leadership and team-building skills while fostering self-awareness.
