Contract Workers Needed by The Exchange Club Family Center

This message is regarding independent contractual work with The Exchange Club Family Center as an In-home Family Services Provider (FSP) for children and families referred for intensive services through the TN Department of Children’s Services. 

We are seeking Master’s level Counselors and Social Workers with at least one (1) year of clinical experience working with youth and families.  Relevant experience includes providing individual/family counseling, domestic violence counseling, sexual and/or other abuse counseling, grief counseling, behavior modification, anger management, and/or parenting education.  Those interested must also have experience with evidence-based curriculum and best practice models.  Applicants must poses strong organizational and time management skills; pay attention to detail; have excellent written, verbal and oral skills; be able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously; and have access to a computer, printer, and internet service.  Reliable transportation is a must and a favorable driving record is required.

Program Overview

In-Home Therapeutic Family Services provide short-term, highly intensive, home-based services designed to protect, treat, and support youth and families.  FSPs are closely supervised by licensed clinical agency staff and provide a wide range of flexible and responsible services that are skill building, teaching and modeling, advocacy, and crisis management focused.  These services will help the FSP and family attain individualized goals for each individual family and may include life development skills, anger management, parent education, conflict resolution training, family violence intervention, and/or other services not covered by TNCARE. 

Position Description

Under the contractual agreement, FSPs will receive remuneration only for face-to-face counseling and intervention services with the client.  The schedule is non-traditional, but flexible and based around the clients’ and contractor’s availability. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Carry a minimum caseload of two (2) cases per month;
  • Develop initial needs assessments, individualized service plans, activity logs, session notes, and monthly summaries as well as maintain high quality and timely documentation of all case work;
  • Provide a minimum of one (1) face-to-face counseling session per week in the home, school and other natural environments that are most convenient to each client/family;
  • Provide advocacy and referrals for community resources that fit the families’ needs;
  • Assist families in developing an information support system to ensure long-term stability for the family;
  • Provide weekly updates to DCS and maintain weekly supervision/consultation with ECFC clinical supervisor;
  • Provide 24-hour emergency response and crisis intervention as needed;
  • Attend all required meetings and trainings including requested court appearances, Child and Family Team Meetings, group trainings, etc.

The Stax Museum of American Soul Music has a 1 year contracted position open for a Project Archivist. It is a full time position with benefits in the department of Museum Collections. The Stax Museum of American Soul Music was established in 2003 with the mission of presenting, preserving, promoting and interpreting the culture and heritage of American Soul Music. The Museum seeks a dedicated archivist to facilitate and oversee all facets of archival housing, cataloging, and digitizing the museum’s photograph collection (over 350 photographs). Participate in provenance research and work closely with the Museum Collections Staff to determine use and access stipulations on the collection. Digitize the photograph collection using Adobe Photoshop. Create finding aids for the photograph collection using the museum’s collections management software (EmbARK and Archivists’ Toolkit) that adhere to recognized best practices for both museum collections and archives. Electrolux will build its new North American Cooking Products manufacturing center and supporting warehouse and office facilities at the Frank C. Pidgeon Industrial Park in Memphis, TN.
The selection of a General Contractor will occur in July/August 2011 and construction is scheduled to begin in August/September 2011.

Summary of Work to be performed

We are open to recommendations on how best to upgrade and extend life of our technology infrastructure.  We currently run a Dell 2800 Server with Small Business Server 2003.  Our email environment is in Outlook and uses the Exchange Mail Server.  We currently support 48 workstations.  Almost all workstations are running XP Professional Operation System and Office 2003.  We want to partner with a vendor who would be a good steward of the grant money we have received to update and extend the life of our technology infrastructure.   This RFP is to include:

· Purchasing of hardware and software components needed to update and extend the life of current technology infrastructure.

· Cost of labor for installing all hardware and software components.

· Planning and Implementation of migration to new server and reuse of current server including but not limited to server set up, workstation set up, databases migration, user troubleshooting, network printing setup, etc.

· We currently support four databases.  CAREWare, MIP Fund Accounting, Fundraising 50 and TenantPro 7.  These must be backed up and migrated to the new system.

· We currently use a tape drive as a backup but we are open to current best practices.

· We have included in this request 12 new workstations.  Workstations need to include at least 23 inch monitors, mouse, keyboard, speakers, security licenses, Word, Excel, and Outlook Office Suite.

· The 12 workstations receiving new computers will have their current PC’s reused by other staff if the computer is able to be used

· We have many documents that need to be stored electronically and retrieved easily.  We are open to suggestions.
