Memphis Advisory Council for Citizens with Disabilities – 2020 Transportation Summit

The Memphis Advisory Council for Citizens with Disabilities (MACCD) is an entity of the City of Memphis tasked with addressing issues of the City of Memphis which impact citizens with disabilities.   There are four subcommittees: Housing/community access, Employment/Education, Disability Awareness, and Transportation.  Our main aim is to ensure that citizens with disabilities are included in and able to access all goods and services within the Memphis community.

To this end, the Transportation subcommittee will be hosting a summit on January 30 2020 at the Benjamin Hooks Library located at 3030 Poplar Ave.  The time will be from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 pm.  Information will be presented on transportation options available within the City of Memphis. There will be presentations as well as vendors to provide information about their services.  Consumers will be able to sign up for services.

We would like to invite you to this event.  We would also encourage you to inform your clients to take advantage of this summit to be informed and educated about transportation in Memphis.  We have included a flyer for this event that you can distribute to individuals that can benefit from attending.

If you have questions, you may contact Deborah Carter at deborahgm9958@gmail.com.

We hope to see you there!

Best regards,

Deborah Carter, Ph.D.

Chair, MACCD Transportation Committee
