Position: Community Engagement Manager

VCMS is an auxiliary program of Visible Music College. VMC trains and equips musicians, technicians, and business professionals in craft and Christian character, for effective service in the music industry and in the Church. Visible Music College is at the intersection of spiritual, professional and academic offering accredited bachelor degrees in music business, music production and music performance, equipping our students for effective service in the music industry and the Church.

Position Summary

As a full time role, reporting to the Director of Visible Community Music School, The Community Engagement Manager develops and implements engagement strategies with school partnerships, organizational partnerships, and the target neighborhoods of Orange Mound, Frayser, North Memphis, Binghamton, and Berlair.

Key Responsibilities: Attend community meetings and network opportunities to identify and learn from key stakeholders. Create engagement campaigns. Schedule and manage community events and performances. Manage contact data base. Oversee the creation of marketing materials. Drive web presence through site and social media. To execute additional but related duties as directed by the Director of VCMS.

Qualifications: Bachelors degree in a related field or two years of experience in related field. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of target neighborhoods in Memphis. Ability to work with a diverse group of people. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Familiar with social media platforms. Web design experience is highly valuable. A committed Christian faith and acceptance/adherence to the Visible Statement of Faith. At least two years of administrative experience. Skilled at developing relationships and engaging in person and on the phone. Salary and Benefits. Starting salary is $30,000. Health Insurance. 401k match.
