The Memphis chapter of the National Black MBA was established in 1993 with 36 charter members. The Memphis chapter has grown significantly since that time. The chapter is involved in the corporate, civic, community, and educational activities of Greater Shelby County. The chapter hosts several annual fundraising and social events.
The mission of the organization: To stimulate the intellectual and economic wealth of the African American community, enhancing the entire community at large. Our mission is framed around five cornerstones: Leadership, Lifestyle, Career, Entrepreneurship, and Education.
NATIONAL BLACK MBA ASSOCIATION, INC. SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM:
The purpose of The Memphis Chapter of the National Black MBA Association, Inc. scholarship is to offer financial assistance for tuition and other educational expenses to students enrolled in a business or management programs. Scholarships are apportioned based on an applicant’s demonstrated academic achievement, community service, letter of reference(s), verbal skills and resume. Scholarship recipients will be notified the second week of April and are required to attend our Visionaries Symposium Luncheon on April 28, 2016.
The application deadline is April 1st, 2016.
