Mid-South Mission of Mercy will provide dental care for the relief of pain to under-served Mid-Southerners, many of whom are from working families who do not have access or cannot afford dental insurance. Our goal is to treat approximately 2,500 patients at our event and provide over $1,000,000 in free dental care. All dental services are provided free of charge by members of the Tennessee Dental Association, Mississippi Dental Association, and Arkansas Dental Association, assisted by a host of volunteers. NO qualifications. Cleanings, Extractions, Fillings. This is the first Mission of Mercy Dental event in the Memphis area, so it is your chance to make history as a volunteer!
February 25 (Setup), February 26-27, 2016 are the event days. Breakdown and cleanup on Saturday, February 27 also. It will be held at Bellevue Church on Appling Road beginning at 6 AM daily. When appointments are filled, there will be a cutoff for the day. Early line up is allowed. If you are a church or agency, please consider running transportation from your area for those in need of care. All group transportation needs to arrive early in order to secure a time to be served.
Volunteers of all types are needed! General volunteers, including Adult Patient Guides, are needed, as well as licensed personnel (dentists, assistants, hygienists, nurses and doctors). We are especially in need of Pharmacists! Shifts available so you don’t have to work all of both days. You are needed!
