Anthony Martin, (901) 262-9146, lanaire.martin@gmail.com | Memphis, Tennessee
On Thanksgiving Day, Sunday’s Best (an organization that donates clothing and other resources to homeless individuals) will host a FREE Thanksgiving Dinner at Binghampton Community Life Center from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. This event is open to anyone who is in need of a hot meal on Thanksgiving Day. Volunteers are needed to help serve food and issue donations of clothing, socks, and other items.
Hunger wreaks havoc in Shelby County with nearly 1 out of 3 persons suffering. This staggering figure is almost double the TN state average. With over 650 thousand residents, there will be over 175 thousand people (many of them children) who will go hungry while the rest of the population enjoys a festive dinner with family and friends.
This year, the organization is hosting a FREE Thanksgiving Dinner at Binghampton Community Life Center for those who may be homeless and/or hungry in our city. The event is open to anyone needing a hot meal on Thanksgiving Day. Donations of clothing and other items will be given away as well.
