We are pleased and thrilled to announce that Metropolitan Inter Faith Association (MIFA) will be operating the Homeless Hotline effective Tuesday, September 15, 2015 starting at 8:30 a.m. The Hotline will be for homeless and imminently homeless families with children. The new phone number is (901) 529-4545. The Hotline will operate 24 hours Monday through Sunday (excluding holidays). Callers will be provided phone-based screening to determine whether the family is or is about to become homeless according to HUD’s definition. Homeless families will be instructed in how to access shelter and/or rapid rehousing services through the MIFA Emergency Shelter Placement Program. Information and referral will be provided to any caller who is in need of other community services. We look forward to a great partnership with MIFA.
Please share this information with your constituents.
Thank you.
