Cadence Bank and MIFA Team Up for Free Finance Classes
Memphis, Tenn. (May 29, 2015) Cadence Bank and MIFA, the nonprofit social services organization, will present Cadence Community Connection @ MIFA, a series of 12 free monthly classes on personal finance. Starting June 10 and running through May 11, 2016, the sessions, open to the public, will be held the second Wednesday of each month from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at MIFA’s Midtown headquarters at 910 Vance Ave.
Led by Cadence Bank representatives, the classes offer a range of informative topics including payday loans, holiday budgeting, savings and retirement, credit recovery, student loans, healthcare expenses, and more.
The schedule is as follows:
June 10 – Personal Finance
July 8 – Buddy Banking (introducing children to banking)
August 12 – Student Loans
September 9 – Personal Finance
October 14 – Payday Loans
November 11 – Holiday Budgeting
December 9 – Personal Finance & Income Taxes
January 13 – Crisis Budgeting
February 10 – Credit Recovery
March 9 – Personal Finance
April 13 – Savings & Retirement
