HIRING NOW FOR SHELBY COUNTY CORRECTIONAL OFFICER 4/13/15 through 4/17/15 Works under direct supervision of an assigned supervisor and is responsible for the security and maintenance of Shelby County Division of Corrections in accordance with established policies and procedures. SALARY: $15.69 Hourly Rate Minimum Qualifications: 1. Must have graduated from accredited high school or possess GED. 2. Minimum age 21 at the time of application. 3. Must be of high moral character and pass a background investigation. 4. Discharged under honorable conditions from armed forces, if applicable. Will be screened for misdemeanor/felony record. Must not have been convicted of, or plead guilty to, or entered plea of no contest to any felony charge, or any violation of federal or state laws or city ordinances relating to force, violence, theft, dishonesty, gambling, liquor or controlled substance. 5.
