ASSISTANT DAY CAMP DIRECTOR – SINGLETON COMMUNITY CENTER (Bartlett) #Memphis #Jobs

This position is responsible for assisting the Day Camp Director in administering and supervising a Summer Day Camp at Singleton Community Center.  Will help the Director in planning the events of the camp, supervising the counselors and campers, assisting in interviewing applicants for new counselors, planning training for counselors, and communicating with parents, counselors, campers and other staff in a timely and professional manner.  Will keep daily attendance records, discipline forms, accident forms and other necessary daily records.

Qualifications

Requires a minimum of two years of college in Recreation, Elementary Education, or related field or a minimum of three years’ experience working with school aged children, or a combination of education and experience. Must have or obtain a current CPR certification. Must pass a background check and physical exam, including drug test and TB test.

Special Requirements

Must be able to work outside in the heat for extended periods of time. Will work in a non-smoking work environment. Bartlett resident preferred, but not required.
