Part-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

One week day and two Saturdays/month

Job Description:

Provide culturally competent sexual health care to all patients, including education regarding contraception, STI prevention, reproductive health, pregnancy options, and hormone therapy. Perform health physical examinations on females and males. Review and interpret patient medical and social histories and symptoms. Perform medical screenings, including breast and pelvic examination and obtaining of materials for STI screening. Perform and interpret laboratory test results and order procedures as needed. Evaluate, plan, and implement patient treatment plans. Prescribe medications and contraceptive devices as allowed by license. Examine patients for IUD fitting and insertions and other approved contraceptive devices. Perform abortion follow-up exams. Follow charting requirements in EHR. Participate in quality assurance projects and compliance. Understand CPT and ICD-9/10 coding. Remain current on Planned Parenthood protocols and requirements for medical care. Participate in the referral/follow-up process. Demonstrate leadership in meeting productivity and efficiency goals.

Qualifications:

• Current licensure in TN as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with a minimum of 1-2 years experience.
