Speaker, Elizabeth Gedmark, will discuss strategies for supporting healthy
working families by educating public officials regarding pregnancy in
the workplace in order to improve pregnancy laws.

Elizabeth Gedmark, J.D., is the Director of the Southern Office/Staff Attorney at A Better Balance (ABB): The Work and Family Legal Center. ABB is a national non-profit legal organization advocating for workers so they do not have to sacrifice their economic security in order to care for their families. Elizabeth is a co-author of the book, Babygate: How to Survive Pregnancy and Parenting in the Workplace, and author of the article published in the Clearinghouse Review, “Using Pregnancy Discrimination Claims to Fight Poverty.” Learn more at: www.abetterbalance.org and http://babygate.abetterbalance.org.
