Thursday, November 6, 2014, will be the Grand Opening of the Family Advocate Center & Empowerment Services of Memphis (F.A.C.E.S), the newest member of the Federation of Families for Children’s Mental Health. F.A.C.E.S. of Memphis is on the campus of The Healing Center, 3885 Tchulahoma Rd., Memphis, TN 38118. Breakfast will be served from 8:00AM – 9:45AM and the ribbon cutting ceremony will be from 9:45-10:45AM.
The special guest will be Sandra Anne Spencer, Executive Director, National Federation of Families for Children’s Mental Health, along with local, state and federal officials.
F.A.C.E.S. of Memphis will advocate, educate and empower families through the work of other families, supportive professionals and community services agencies. The organization will specialize in helping young people experiencing behavioral, emotional and mental health challenges.
F.A.C.E.S is a partnership between Shelby County Government, the Just Care Family Network, the State of Tennessee, Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services, The Healing Word Counseling Center and various community and faith-based organizations.
